Even though massage therapy is not covered under the Health Insurance Portability and Protection Act of 1996 you may share personal health information with your therapist during a visit. That information will remain private unless a signed Release of Information is obtained from you. If there are any health, legal and/or personal matters that are being addressed during your treatment, please advise your therapist.
